Purification, recycling and reusing of polluted waters seems a logical solution to overcome deal with water crisis. In this research, to remove Congo redas an anionic azo dye pollutant from water, in the first step, polyaniline powder and after that chitosan-activated carbon and chitosan-polyaniline nanofibers- activated carbon hydrobead adsorbents were synthesized and the aquracy of their synthesis was confirmed by FTIR analysis. Morphology of polyaniline powder and also hydrobead was observed as nano fiber by FE-SEM analysis. The zeta potential of chitosan and polyaniline-chitosan hydrobeads (without activated carbon) in natural pH of solution (pH=5.7) were 5 and 11.97 mV, respectively. After 7 h (time of equilibrium), the removal percentages and the adsorption capacities of the synthesized adsorbents were 18.8%, 42.74%, 74.93% and 0.94, 2.137, 3.749 mg/g, respectively. The reason for low adsorption capacities in contrast to proper removal percentages, is the low mass ratio of principal adsorbents to activated carbon as the support (1/24). Also, the experimental data obeyed all three kinetic models and freundlich isotherm model.
